Paula Shelnutt Burgess: 'The Adrenaline Junkie'

*Thanks Paula for a short version of a very exciting life. We will be talking about 'miracles' over these fifty years over the weekend and beyond, I am sure. Paula, you were a walking miracle and never knew it: Zip lining? Hot air balloon? Slingshot? And more to come?

Nah, I don't think so! :)

Chapter 9

Paula Shelnutt Burgess

The Adventures of Paula Shelnutt Burgess over the last 50 Years

God had been so good to me in my lifetime.  I would like to start with how proud I am to be a Granger.  My years at LSHS were fantastic.I will start with my family life.  I have one son, Daniel, whom I am very proud of.  After high school, I worked for one year before going to Troup Tech.  I received a Secretarial Degree which led to a job with Milliken and Company that lasted for 43 years.

While working full time, I went to college and received my degree. I have been coaching Special Olympics athletes for the last 18 years.  I coach softball, basketball, and volleyball.  I love my athletes very much. I have been on a mission trip to Guatemala and looking forward to the next one.

I am also an adrenaline junkie.

1) Hot air balloon in New Mexico

2) Zip Line on the top of the Stratosphere and Fremont Street

3) Roller Coasters are my favorite!

4) Slingshot in Panama City, Florida

I have been blessed with good health and many great friends.  I am looking forward to riding more roller coasters and zip lines.  So, this is the adventure of Paula Shelnutt Burgess over the last 50 years.
